Winzgo Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Winzgo ("Winzgo", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Winzgo mobile app. Winzgo works offline-first: your fuel, trip, and vehicle records are stored on your device, and we do not operate servers that store them.

Stored on your device
Your records live in a local database. We run no servers that store them.
No ads, never sold
Winzgo contains no ads, and we do not sell your personal data.
Backup in your own Drive
No Winzgo account. Backups go only to your Google Drive.
You stay in control
Export or delete your data and revoke permissions at any time.
Data We Collect
- Location (precise, including in the background): used to record trips, calculate distance and fuel consumption, detect stops at fuel stations, show your position on the map, and provide directions. Background location is used only after you allow it, and only to record trips, keep your odometer up to date while your vehicle is connected, and detect fuel-station stops. The map and directions use location while the app is open. On Android Auto, turn-by-turn guidance you start keeps using location, with a visible notification, while another app is on the car screen, until you end it.
- Vehicle connection: the name and address of the Bluetooth device you link as your car, and whether Android Auto or car mode is active, used to recognize when your car is connected so Winzgo can keep its odometer up to date and detect fuel-station stops. Winzgo does not record other nearby devices.
- Voice search (Android Auto): when you tap the microphone on the car screen to search for a destination, your speech goes to your device's speech recognition service to be turned into text. Winzgo keeps only the recognized text for that search. It does not record or store audio.
- Records you enter: fuel fill-ups (station, amount, price, volume, odometer, date), service and maintenance expenses, vehicles, notes, and vehicle photos you choose.
- Trip data: route points, distance, duration, speed, and start and end addresses.
- Diagnostics: crash reports and technical events (app version, device model, OS version, error stack traces). If usage analytics is enabled in your version of the app, pseudonymous feature-usage events are also collected.
- Google account: when you connect Google Drive backup, Google Sign-In provides your account email so Winzgo can show which account is connected. It is kept on your device only.
Data Storage
Your records are stored in a local database on your device. We do not upload them to our own servers. Data leaves your device only in the cases described under Third-Party Services, for example when you enable Google Drive backup or use map features. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising. Winzgo contains no ads.
Third-Party Services
- Mapbox (Mapbox, Inc., USA): maps, fuel-station search, route matching, directions, and navigation. Requests include the coordinates needed for a result, such as your current position, destination, or route points. Mapbox SDKs may also collect anonymous telemetry, which you can turn off from the ⓘ attribution button on the map. Mapbox privacy policy.
- Google geocoding (Android): converts trip start and end coordinates into readable addresses.
- Google Drive and Google Sign-In: when you enable backup, an archive of your Winzgo data is uploaded to your own Google Drive. Winzgo can only access files it created there.
- Speech recognition (Android Auto): the speech recognition service on your device (for example from Google) converts voice searches into text. Its provider's privacy policy applies to that audio.
- Firebase App Check (Google): uses Google Play Integrity to confirm that map requests come from the genuine Winzgo app. It does not receive your location or your records.
- Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics (Google): crash reports and, if enabled, pseudonymous usage statistics used to improve stability. Diagnostic data is designed to exclude exact coordinates, addresses, and access tokens. The Advertising ID is not collected. Google privacy policy.
Permissions
- Location (while using the app and "Allow all the time"): trip recording, odometer updates while your vehicle is connected, and fuel-station stop detection, including when the app is closed or not in use.
- Nearby devices (Bluetooth): recognize your linked car to keep its odometer up to date and detect fuel-station stops.
- Notifications: show the ongoing trip-recording notification, Android Auto guidance, and refuel and maintenance reminders.
- Foreground service: keeps trip recording running while the screen is off, keeps Android Auto guidance running while another app is on the car screen, and finishes offline map downloads you start.
- Microphone: only when you tap the microphone on the Android Auto screen to search by voice.
- Camera or photo picker: only when you add a vehicle photo.
Every permission is optional. You can refuse or revoke it in your device settings and still log fuel manually.
Your Rights and Choices
- Export all your data as JSON or CSV (Settings › Data Management).
- Delete all Winzgo data on your device (Settings › Data Management), or uninstall the app.
- Delete backups by removing the "Winzgo Backups" folder from your Google Drive, and disconnect Winzgo at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Revoke any permission in your device settings.
- Contact us to ask about, correct, or delete your data, or to withdraw consent. Depending on where you live (for example Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, or the Philippines), you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Winzgo does not require an account, so there is no Winzgo account to delete.
Data Retention
Data on your device is kept until you delete it or uninstall Winzgo. Backups stay in your Google Drive until you delete them. Crash reports are kept by Firebase for up to 90 days; analytics data, if enabled, is kept for up to 14 months. Winzgo does not permanently store temporary map and search results from Mapbox.
Security
Data sent over the network uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Data on your device is protected by the Android app sandbox; we recommend using a screen lock. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
Winzgo is intended for drivers aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. The latest version is always available in the app and at this page. Significant changes will be announced in the app or on the store listing.
